Megri.com recognizes that artificial intelligence can support certain parts of digital publishing, but it does not replace human editorial responsibility, professional judgment or reliable source verification.

Megri.com produces and manages its publications through its own editorial team. We do not accept articles or editorial contributions from external contributors.

This AI Use Policy explains how Megri.com may use artificial-intelligence tools when researching, writing, editing, illustrating and managing content published on the Website.

1. Scope of This Policy

3. Permitted Uses of AI

4. Human Editorial Responsibility

A human editor, writer or other authorized team member should review substantive AI-assisted content before publication.

Human review may include:

• Checking material facts, names, dates, quotations and statistics.
• Reviewing sources and citations.
• Identifying misleading or unsupported statements.
• Removing biased, offensive or inappropriate output.

Final responsibility for published content rests with Megri.com’s human editorial team, not with an AI system or AI provider.

5. Accuracy and Source Verification

AI systems can produce information that sounds plausible but is incomplete, outdated or false.

Megri.com’s editorial team should not rely solely on AI output to establish a material fact. Important claims should be checked against appropriate sources, particularly when they concern:

• Law or regulation.

6. Quotations and Interviews

Megri.com does not permit AI to fabricate or materially alter quotations attributed to real people.

AI may assist with transcription or the organization of interview notes. Quotations should be checked against the original recording, transcript, written statement or another reliable record where reasonably possible.

AI must not be represented as having:

• Interviewed a person.
• Attended an event.
• Tested a product.
• Visited a location.
• Witnessed an occurrence.
• Had a personal experience.

If a quotation has been translated or lightly edited for clarity, it should remain faithful to the speaker’s original meaning.

7. Authorship and Bylines

AI systems will not be given human bylines or presented as members of Megri.com’s editorial team.

Bylines identify the human writer, editor or editorial team responsible for reviewing and approving the published material.

AI must not be used to:

• Invent an author.
• Create false qualifications.
• Fabricate professional experience.
• Impersonate an existing writer.
• Generate a deceptive author photograph.
• Suggest that an AI system has personal knowledge or experience.
• Misrepresent AI-generated material as first-hand reporting.

A human author may use AI assistance in accordance with this Policy but remains responsible for reviewing the work and meeting Megri.com’s editorial standards.

8. AI-Generated and AI-Assisted Images

Megri.com may use AI tools to create or modify illustrations, conceptual images, decorative graphics and other visual material.

AI-generated or materially AI-altered visuals should be disclosed when their nature could reasonably affect a reader’s understanding of the content.

An appropriate label may include:

• “AI-generated illustration.”
• “Image created using artificial-intelligence tools.”
• “Illustrative image; digitally generated.”
• “Image digitally altered using AI.”

AI-generated imagery must not be presented as an authentic photograph of a real event, location, product or person when it is not.

Megri.com does not permit deceptive synthetic images intended to:

• Falsely show a person participating in an event.
• Fabricate evidence.
• Create a false endorsement.
• Misrepresent a news event.
• Impersonate a real individual.

Minor technical editing, such as resizing, background removal, noise reduction or color adjustment, may not require a separate AI disclosure when it does not materially change the meaning of an image.

9. Synthetic Audio and Video

AI-generated or materially altered audio and video must not be presented as an authentic recording of a real person or event when it is not.

Megri.com will not knowingly publish deceptive deepfakes, cloned voices or fabricated recordings that could mislead readers about what a person said or did.

Synthetic audio or video used for illustration, explanation, commentary or demonstration should be clearly identified where a reasonable person could otherwise mistake it for authentic material.

10. Disclosure of AI Use

Megri.com may disclose the use of AI when it materially contributed to content or when disclosure would help readers understand how the material was created.

Disclosure is particularly appropriate when:

• AI generated a substantial part of an article’s initial draft.
• An image, audio recording or video was substantially generated or altered using AI.

Additional care should be taken when AI is used in connection with:

• Children and vulnerable individuals.
• Allegations of wrongdoing.
• Other subjects that could materially affect a person’s rights, health, finances or reputation.

For these subjects, the editorial team should consider:

• Whether specialist or qualified human review is appropriate.
• Whether primary or authoritative sources are available.
• Whether incorrect information could cause material harm.
• Whether the article requires a specific disclaimer.
• Whether additional sourcing and context are necessary.
• Whether using AI is appropriate for the particular task.

AI-generated material must not be presented as professional medical, legal, financial or emergency advice.

Readers should consult our General Disclaimer before relying on information published on the Website.

12. Privacy and Confidential Information

Megri.com’s team must not enter personal, confidential, proprietary or legally protected information into an AI system unless its use has been appropriately authorized and relevant privacy and security risks have been considered.

18. Corrections and Complaints

AI-assisted content is subject to the same correction standards as all other material published on Megri.com.

If we discover that AI contributed to a material factual error, fabricated citation, misleading image or another significant problem, we may:

• Correct the content.
• Add a clarification or editor’s note.
• Replace or remove the affected material.
• Add or revise an AI disclosure.
• Retract the article where it is fundamentally unreliable.
