Disability is a sickness or injury which interferes in your ability to work. Every disabilty insurance policy from every insurance company is very different, this is not a product to simply shop for the most competitive rate. To buy the cheapest disability insurances policy on the market is to throw money away.

There are two major types of disability coverage:
Short-Term Disability
Short term disability provides an income for the early part of a disability. Short-term disability is often included as part of an employee benefits package.

Long-Term Disability
Long term disability helps replace income for an extended period of time. Some have long-term disability insurance provided by their employers.
